As we move slowly but surely into the warmer months we reflect on Easter and the second month of spring!
Life Lately
This month marked a big moment for us as we finally booked a wedding date and venue (post on that to come)! We spent the 1st of April having one more look at our 2nd choice venue, and as pretty as it was we knew it was our 2nd choice. We are hopefully seeing our venue again in June so we'll get some pictures then.
Easter was fun as we finally got to the end of lent and we could enjoy all of our vices again!! A glass of coke never tasted so good. We had a pretty casual Easter weekend full of hot cross buns, walks with Ernie, dinner with families, some garden furniture buying andddd I baked my first ever cake!!!
We then went to Kent for the weekend to see my Dad and Step Mum, where we took a trip into Canterbury and had the nicest cake. The next day we went on a 6 mile walk through the bluebells which was a great photo opportunity, but they never quite look the same in pictures as they do in real life do they? Not on a phone camera anyway...
The last weekend of April was spent FINALLY decorating our lounge. We did an Ikea shop on the Saturday for some bits and pieces, and then Sunday I single handedly (David was shooting a wedding) painted and wallpapered the lounge. I also built our bookcase and put up a floating shelf! I'll do a final lounge tour when we've finished putting pictures and plants up!
