Sorry I didn't post one of these last month, but I have been in a bit of a blogging slump so far this year! I blame January.
January started out with the first Christmas pack away (not going to lie, we just boxed it all up and moved it into the study), but that's a different blog post. It was sad to take our first tree down, because it made us realise how bloody bare our lounge is still after nearly a whole bloody year! We decided to make an event of it all, by treating ourselves to a garden centre lunch as we binned the tree! I even picked up some Christmas bits for next year in the sale! Obvs.
I also travelled to Nottingham at the beginning of Jan to visit my Uni friends! Unfortunately Hannah couldn't make it because she was poorly, but I got to see my bestie Suz whom I haven't seen in like...18 months!? She lives on an island off the coast of Bali, so you can imagine reunions are far and few between. It was such a lovely chilled out weekend full of story telling and hearty comfort food.
I then went on my first ever work trip abroad to Paris for Interfilière, a trade show where Lingerie brands and suppliers gather to do business! I really enjoyed getting to see the new collections first hand and it made me super inspired for next season!
At the end of the month me, David and my brother Bert drove to see the Harry Potter Studio Tour (which was my brothers Christmas present in 2015....whoops). Even though me and Dave have been before, it was cool to see all the new bits that have been added since then..although i'm gutted that they are opening the forbidden forest this month. Oh well, i'll have to go again...
As spring started to show itself, we have been getting a bit more excited about wedding stuff. We went to see our first potential venue which blew us away! I have been trying hard to organise a few more venue viewings but i'm finding it so hard to get in contact with people, and I have only managed to book one more viewing for tomorrow (as i'm writing this). Did any other weds-to-be's find this?
I finally got the ball rolling this month with my brace! I wasn't sure whether to go train track or Invisalign. I knew Invisalign would be more expensive, but I decided to go for an appointment anyway. Turns out they were doing an amazing promotional month in February which made Invisalign treatment far more cheaper than usual, so naturally I went with that! My treatment kickstarts in March and i'm so excited to finally have straight teeth! I might even do a post about it?
David went to visit his Uni friends this month in Bristol, and while he was out partying I took the chance to have a full thorough deep clean of the house! Since moving in I have never done that all by myself in one wack...and it was HARD WORK I tell you. Best 7 hour work out i've ever done, and now my house is sparkling ready for spring!
