Yay 2017 is here! New year new me and all that jazz!
December was an absolute whirlwind of a month if ever there was one. Just one big roller-coaster of emotions...one minute I was down, then up, then down again! The month started in a sad way, with me saying goodbye to my Granddad. He was my last living Grandparent, and on the 1st of December we had his funeral. We had the most lovely flowers for him that played homage to his farmer roots with autumnal berries and corn, and I read a poem that I shared on the blog for him.
We then took a trip to Kent for mine and my Dad's birthday celebrations. David took me to Leeds Castle to go to the Beatrix Potter exhibition which I decided to film! Little did I know that he was planning to propose, outside the gardens in the maze he casually threw it out there... ring in hand... when I was least expecting it! Everyone has asked me if I actually did expect it..and honestly I didn't! We've been together so long and David has missed so many obvious opportunities to propose, so it's always just way in the back of my mind! It was perfect and the best day of my life, and so we went out with my Dad, Step Mum and Step Brother for champagne and dinner that night to celebrate!
Christmas then creeped around, and along with work dos and my girlfriends annual get together we had plenty of festive fun at our place! As it was our first Christmas in the house we were really keen on hosting parties for our friends and family. There was some mini disasters and a lot of tears...but we got through it! It was lovely, but lets just say i'm not in a rush to cook another Christmas dinner any time soon!

Lessons Learned And Reflections
It doesn't matter how hard you try, you can't and won't please everyone. Don't beat yourself up about it.
