Dear Diary- March 2015

Today marks the first day of April, and as we have completed 1 whole month on our blog we thought we'd give you a little monthly catch up incorporating the 5 year diary! We love reading posts like this, so we've done one for you as well!

Where we've been

David: I haven't been anywhere as fancy as Hayley has, but I did go to my first football match with the guys. Football's not really my thing but I really enjoyed it as a day out and the atmosphere was pretty cool!

Hayley: If you didn't catch yesterdays posts, I went to Paris! I had the most amazing time with my friends. We have also been on some little day trips to local towns and taken Ernie on a few country walks.

What we've been watching

David: I have so many programs on the go it's almost impossible to find the time to watch them all! The main ones I've been keeping up with are The Walking Dead, Fortitude & Better Call Saul. Me and Hayley are going to start watching Game of Thrones soon so that's another we need to to fit in our evenings!

Hayley: I watch a lot of Youtube, which i'm not sure is normal for a 25 year old woman. I'm sure I have better things to do than watch Zoella vlogs, but it's my guilty pleasure and I love it. We have also started to watch Skins again from series 1 on Netflix, which is making us oh so nostalgic about 6th form!

What we've been listening to

David: I'm a saddo so I pre-ordered James Bay's debut album "Chaos and The Calm", so I've had that on repeat in my car. Oh and let's not forget boshing out "Now That's What I Call Disney" when driving Hayley and her friends to the station before Paris.

Hayley: David bought me Taylor Swift's album '1989' a couple of weeks ago, and I have it on in my car at the moment. I love 'Style' and 'This Love'!

What we've been wearing

David: I've really got into mens jewellery over the last few months, which is understandable as I work for a company that sells the stuff. I love buying an interesting new pendant to wear over a plain t-shirt.

Hayley: As spring is in full swing, i've ditched my heavy winter coat for a lighter grey jumper style coat from New Look that has served me well for the last 2 years. I am also very much into my slogan T-shirts at the moment.

What we've been eating

David: Even though it's a  bit of a winter thing I'm still into a good soup. When we both went Olney for the day a few weekends ago I had a carrot & coriander one and it was lush! Since then I've enjoyed a few here and there. On a side note I've starting drinking ground coffee again which is a nice treat!

Hayley: I seem to have gone a little mad this month with eating out and getting take-aways! Which really has to stop. But I'd say the highlight for me was the food in Paris! Can anyone say 'cheesy crepes!' ?

What we've been reading

David: I like reading interviews with artists, photographers or musicians. Whether it's online or in a magazine I'm intrigued to find out what inspires people and how they got to where they are.

Hayley: For anyone who knows me, they can tell you i'm rubbish at reading...(as in I can read, I just don't). For me, I do a lot of my reading online. I just love reading other people's blogs, but I would like to get into reading more if anyone has a book they can recommend a newbee.

What we've bought

David: Last weekend (while Hayley was in Paris) I went on my first shopping day out in ages. I treated myself to a nice black and white stripe sweater, along with some Kilner jar-style glasses. I also bought some tickets only yesterday to see James Bay in September! So I have a gig to look forward to now which is good.

Hayley: I switched from Clinique foundation to NARS this month as i'd heard so much about it. I love it! It gives a nice coverage, although it's harder to apply/blend than Clinique. I also bought some bits and bobs in Paris, like some pictures to frame and Minnie Mouse ears! For Mother's Day I got my Mum some beautiful flowers, chocolate, Neal's Yard bubble bath and some Fentiman's and Bloom gin and tonic.

Lessons learned and reflections

David: Sometimes it's good to just forget about whatever job you're doing and spend quality time with people.

Hayley: Be careful with money, keep on top of my health, enjoy the memories and be grateful for what you have.
